This can be an effective method for generating traffic to an affiliate site but it can also be quite costly if not watched carefully.
The second and free way to generate traffic to a vendors website is to use article marketing. You will have to write compelling articles on topics that are related to the product you are promoting and persuade the reader to click on your affiliate link. There are many sites like Ezine Articles.com that will allow you to post articles for free. Article marketing takes a considerable of time and work but it is the only free online money making idea I know of that will produce results.
